Remembering Angels

Today is the solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, and in today's first reading Acts 12:1-11,  I was reminded  of how an angel  helped St. Peter escape from his prison cell.

My take on this is that angels walked on earth before.  So what would make me stop believing that they are still around to this day and age?

To me, angels  need not be winged.  They could be anyone in our midst who rescues someone  in need. They are messengers of  truth and gladness.

To all the angels in  our lives  who helped us, who shaped us and  who drew us closer to Home, this is  an occasion for us  to remember  you in gratitude.
