When It Pays to Get Disturbed

Today, I feel privileged to have received  from a friend  a copy of a very meaningful prayer entitled "Disturb Us,  Lord."

Disturb us O Lord,
When we are too well pleased with ourselves;
When our dreams have come true,
because we have dreamed too little;
When we arrived in safety,
because we have sailed too close to the shore;
When with the abundance of things we possess,
we have lost our thirst for the waters of life;
When having fallen in love with time,
we have ceased to dream of eternity;
When in our efforts to build a new earth,
we have allowed our vision of heaven to grow dim.

Stir us O Lord,
To dare more boldly;
To venture into wider seas,

where storms show your mastery; Where losing sight of land, we shall find the stars.
In the name of Him who pushed back the horizons of our hope,
And invited the brave to follow him. Amen.
Some words resonate within me. They sound like an invitation for me to go beyond the familiar and the comfortable.

And I  believe  that  this is truly  worth passing on---  to disturb others too, specially  those  who mean very much to me.
