I agree with Ms. Reddy about the need for inner peace, rejuvenation and enlightenment, but not on the price tags that go with these exotic destinations that spanned from Indonesia to Japan to India to Spain and to far away Mongolia.Here in the Philippines, we have numerous retreat houses for which Tagaytay and Baguio are popular destinations. But there is one particular retreat house that I would recommend. It is situated just about an hour away from the Central Business District of Makati.
This is the Sacred Heart Retreat House and Seminar Center. Here one can have a group retreat or an individually-guided retreat for a period of just 3 days to 30 days or even longer. Arrangements can be made with a retreat director through the Center for Ignatian Spirituality located in Ateneo de Manlla.
Sacred Heart Retreat House and Seminar Center is in a sprawling compound with lush greenery in Novaliches, Quezon City. Its main building is the Sacred Heart Novitiate that was built in 1932.
